My name is Andreas Mikko and Giron Games is my personal portfolio on the internet. I grew up in the small town of Kiruna in northern Sweden and graduated from Uppsala University in 2014 with a Bachelor Degree in Game Design and Programming. Currently I am studying Interaction Design and Technology (MSc) with a focus on game development at Chalmers University of Technology. My merits include gameplay programming, QA-testing and lecturing at Södertörn University.
Giron is a Sami word for rock ptarmigan, a gamebird that thrives up in the fells of northern Sweden. Giron Games originates from the very same subarctic mountains. Blistering cold and blazing aurora will always feel like home and the ptarmigan best captures the unique nature and culture of my subarctic origin.
